So it was never going to take long for me to get in trouble, even without doing anything wrong. In addition to our luggage we shipped 4 bags via a Freight service (containing 2 bikes, 3 sets of golf clubs and a suitcase of toys, books and computer cables), which, having not even known were on the same flight as us we were naturally delighted to see on the baggage carousel on our arrival. We checked it was all OK to take them away there and then and were told, “Yes, yes of course”, by the baggage team.
Three days later customs knock at the door and say they have to take everything away to make sure it weighs the 100kgs that was shown on the shipping documents and could we get the things for them to take.
Herein lies the problem.
Three days in and the golf clubs are in lockers at the Golf Club.
The bikes are at the Bike Shop for a service.
The toys all over the place in baths, pools and ponds.
And the computers are all rigged up nicely after hours of untangling wires and fighting routers.
Of course I don’t look at all dodgy when nearly all the stuff I claim was in the bags is nowhere to be seen.
Let’s see how this one goes!!
