From a foggy London Gatwick we departed with our life in four suitcases (and a few carry ons!). The Storm troopers were having to keep control inside the airport as many flights were cancelled, but luck was on our side and we made our way through the inhumane check in process to board bound for Dubai.
The fog came with us! As we circled Dubai for an hour waiting for thick fog to lift, I snapped an amazing photo of the Burj Khalifa sticking through the clouds. We got down an hour late, ran through the airport, jumped in a bus and onto another extraordinarily long plane (down the back as always) and arrived in Bali to make our way through passport control on the chime of midnight.
No Champagne, but some lovely welcomes and all our bags (except for one – Michelle’s!) made it – new bikini for the Mrs!!
